I’VE BEEN PERCOLATING

My kinda Klimt-ish carousel

I was wandering the virtual isles of the App Store and came across Percolator. It’s a photo app that transforms images so they appear to be made up of a variety of circles, rings, bubbles, and even stars! The app takes on the theme of a coffee maker that brews different filters. There are so many possible variations; it’s kept me occupied for hours. Check out my images below along with the recipe used to create the effects.

Recipe for image above:

Grind: Fine (Smallest Circles & Effect: Saturate), Brew: Treble (3/4 Pic & Darkest Blended Circles), Serve: Light & Sweet (Candy Stripe Tone & Smooth Texture)

Become a constellation

That’s me made up of rings

What are your favorite photo apps?!

COLOR ON GLASS, FROSTING ON CAKE, AND YARN I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH

Anything translucent fascinates me. I love the effect of light shining though color. I had painted/scribbled/drawn on these glass panels I had, and put them up to light and other items. The color combinations are straight out of a kaleidoscope.

Within a span  of two weeks, I baked three different batches of cupcakes. That is not common for me…but I started to like it. I experimented with different food colorings in my icing and different frosting techniques. No two were alike! The blue with coconut were my favorite.

I have no idea what to do with this crazy ball of yarn!? But it was colorful and shiny and it screamed “take me home”. So I did… I don’t even think it is yarn, but I found it in the knitting isle.
